Thursday 21 July 1921

Wet. I do the orders and have a very cold job. I ring Ellis. Sailors' joy in afternoon I go to The Flat for League Meeting but it is too wet and we all sit and talk and laugh. The girls are very laughable at their own jokes

Friday 22 July 1921

I catch 8.10 and work all day. I come home by 6 boat and go to bed 8.30

x I go to Barton's for milk which I carry around with me.  windy'wet.a gale.

Saturday 23 July 1921

I work in garden and do odd jobs. I ring E City and E Manly and get the break twice. I watch the boat cross to Sydney from 1.30 to 4 pm & then go around to Ocean Beach, To Ellis and to Frank who has found New piano and to Dobboes. Tea & piece of bread and hurry by motor to Flat. I am treated like an iceberg.  We all talk but I am very sad and worried over things generally. x

Sunday 24 July 1921

I do odd jobs about house I go to manly at 2 pm I meet Barton Rose & Jack and go on Bluefish. We meet Roy and I go very unwillingly to Flat. I go to E's for tea and back to flat. I am still feeling unwanted by Ellis and all think I am thin skinned -- Bert slept at our place
