Thursday 31 March 1921
I deliver orders & go to Ellis place for tea. Deliver sports coat. go to Carnival. Better night than previously. I meet Elsie & a cobber while selling suit tickets. We laugh all the time at Lucy's tricks. The Misses K are very vexed but I make 'em laff
Friday 1 April 1921
Rain in torrents. I go to town. Dine with E. I fix up suit for self. I go to Summerhoff. I drink with them all. I go to Burwood M. is out & I play cards all night but have no luck until Q. becomes my partner. I dine on grapes on Burwood Platform waiting for train get 9.47 through.
Saurday 2 April 1921
Rain. I go to town again. get sausage & get wet . Home by 12.45 boat. Munemarra gals act "NOWHERE" I dine & go to Georgie's place. Music for an hour. I go to Ellis' place & all are out. I find Mum at tram. I go to Millie's place for 30 minutes & tea at Dobboes. Home at 8pm to play & read.
Sunday 3 April 1921
Rain I garden & excavate. Rock falls on toe. George. Lil & Keith come over & Cousin Will's (two)
I have Sailor's joy & am asked if I am packing up to get married. I play cars with Dad while Mum & Flo go to Church. Census taken.
