Monday 28 November 1921

Dolly gets out & we all chase her. Dad gets dressed & chases her home for us to catch.

 I slip back another rung through finding a tenner in my pyjama coat

P.P. & I come to work. I catch my train nicely I feel very seedy & mum says Oh! Damn Pat in her usual don't care manner & upsets poor D. very much & also upsets me. I see the day out very well. Music & chatter after tea but I get to bed about 9.30 after parleying with [....]

Tuesday 29 November 1921

I get 6.25 train at H'Park.  Arrive at 72 @ 7.45. Tea not over & Dave calls & then K. Mrs R. is very vivacious, likewise P.P. The former says most entertaining Things to me or to P.P.  We sit & chat until 10.40. I race for tram but have plenty time I remain stationary. I receive one particular T- & two minor ones

Home at 12.10 & undress on verandah

Wednesday 30 November 1921

I don't wake until 8 am. I see 4 jobs in paper. I turn to No 13 Docket & wonder if anything good will come out of it. I don't finish serving after writing Tno.14/6 on Docket & rush to phone for Mum to say Otto has job for me. I ring Otto & promise to see him soon. I go to B'wood & sit back in last car & see view of Railway line to B'wood. I have a little tea & go with M. to Halloran in Back Street.  A catty woman makes fuss of M & I note it correctly.  Story of a married mans admiration.  Meet Father Con. who. goes to see Blue M & M Mystery, a meeting of 11 sheilahs. I chip in. Oh! miss Quish. I see a couple home. M & Q  tell stories about me.
