Monday 7 March 1921

It rains. Mum & I drive to Manly. No butter until late in afternoon. I go to Manly on foot to have dinner at St Elmo. We get ready & set off by "Special' Tram for 3.40 boat. We have four on the boat. We lose a ticket but Stan arranges matters. We meet Maynie at tram stop. I get teased for carrying Her Bag. We get tea & straightened up. I get a promise & it fails. I decide to stay overnight on invitation. Big sea running - I get up about 6pm

Tuesday 8 March 1921

I get own Brekker & leave by 6.50 - meet Ted at gate. I do not gaze on sleepers. I catch 7.3 & I do not know whether we stop or go through. I am sad & lonely as possible. I get 8 boat. Huge waves & spray goes to top of Middle Head & Dobroyd. I get home & Dad & I have Girlie in place of Billy. We get orders before lunch. We drive to Manly & I square up with Doyle. Gun Practise South Heads.  

Wednesday 9 March 1921

I work around Home all day. I visit Buntings and Millie & Alcon & Frank.

I see Dot Home to Pacific St I lecture & help to nurse Millie & play Piano for awhile
