Thursday 17 November 1921

Quiet all morning. I resist a desire to write a letter to P.P. I go down road after tea & waste time & money at P.O.Phone. I go to Metcalfes & ring Nelsons. I go home at 7.30 spend until 11 pm writing to P.P. I hear 'em all up & go to bed at that time.

Friday 18 November 1921

I ring home on Friday morning. George come up I go for dinner with him. I work until 9.50 & then ring P.P. I speak with man who has not been in P'matta for 40 years - I get on very well. Mrs Meldrum calls to ask me to go & stay with her. I am not a bit tired after the long day-

Saturday 19 November 1921

I ring home. I should ring NORTH but I go over instead. I hustle the poor princess unmercifully. We race & just catch tram for 3.30 boat. We see motor boat race & scores of yachts. I see Gladys Linquist. Mum goes to Police. We go to Baths. H.Hay very stuck on P.P. we have tea at Cafe & Beach. They go to Pictures. We go to Band after a lemonade.  See George & Lil. We go home when southerly springs up. We stay up until They come home.  

Sunday 20 November 1921

My fault that we start out is only mistaken duty.  Rain from 11 am P.P. & I mow the lawn. We go through my Trophies. We go to bed after dinner. We watch until 6.30 pm. We have music & chatter all night. Go to bed after 10 pm. We are very close & I never feel more inclined to be a H -- to my one. Elle nearly gets me into [indecipherable] --
