Thursday 4 August 1921

I catch 810 boat. I see & accidentally meet E. Things get a bit straightened out. I am laughed at but I still hold my own convictions. a great S.W. gale (63m.p.h.) springs up. Roof in Pittwater Rd blown over houses.  Steeple of Pres.Church in Castlereagh St. begins to topple. I go to Otto's & around town & interview typist etc. I take tea with Ellis at 118 I go to League but can't find M so I go to Hilderlea I catch usual boat and sit with George & the Domino players. I catch 5.45 boat & sit squeezed up in Engine Room.  I go home & am in bed at 8 pm.

Friday 5 August 1921

Nothing to do all day. Give one lot of patterns out. 

Saturday 6 August 1921

Wrote. Summerhoff, Altman, Auntie Annie

Usual boat at 12.45 Home. I drive with Possum & meet Vi & walk to Flat.  We all meet at 118. We pack up. I have tea & go to ring Kog. 529. no luck. I go to Hildenlea  We spend a pleasant evening. I feel just a bit out of place with someone.  I cant understand a warm friend  turning into an iceberg.

Sunday 7 July 1921

I work in garden & doing odd jobs I drive to Brookvale for nothing except a few wild flowers.  I go to  J. with bed & bags & to deliver flowers.  I drive home for tea & then go back to flat for tea. Vera is present. We have a nice chat but I can't stay after 8.45 pm
