Met Horrie Norton, [indecipherable] Ward. Dot Georgies Bridesmaid.  Meet Ray C at R'way & Freddy C at Quay. I am told off again but not quite so definitely. I learn two reasons why I spoil myself --  I go to Quay with all  but I am so thoughtful as to be a bore to myself & others.  ----  I  ring Dad.

I stay at Eltham. We have music & dancing I see the girls home rather reluctantly.  Stella is a nice soft little thing in manner. I go to bed later than I wished with malade etc

Tuesday 6 December 1921

Today is very hot.  All the Kids play up & Mrs M. is very unhappy. I hear tales of woe & sympathy is sought. I go to bed at 7.30 & suffer the most dreadful night ever, dreams & night mare, roll & toss & aches & pains until 4.30 when I drop off to sleep. Up at 6 to get paper & out of bed at 7.30 ---

Wednesday 7 December 1921

Feeling a bit better. Catch 5.8 & 6.5 boat. I jump on back of same tram as P.P. & Marie. We have tea & some argument whether upstairs or downstairs verandah U.S. wins. P.P. is troubled with plague associates & is afraid of catching a cold only not over very much afraid. I grumble waiting for supper & lose more point 'cos I complain of a pain in my side. I gain point by giving her a holiday over the week-end, although. strange to say I am allowed to ring up. I leave early & catch 11 pm train. I go straight to sleep 'cos I don't hear the next train come up.
