Monday 1 August 1921
I work in garden all day and do housework while Mum and Gran go to do some shopping. I go to Manly, to Etta and to Flat I get disappointed at latter and have no tea. I go to Ellis' place and chat until 10-10 tram I am sorry that I had to leave without an explanation
Tuesday 2 July 1921
I do all the orders. I work until 4 pm I ring Dave and Pat. I go to Manly to relieve E's friend about Monday night nearly get snubbed. I go to North Harbour & back to North Manly until 9 pm. I walk home & get there at 9.20. I tell m about MCP. & she is very concerned about it.
Wednesday 3 August 1921
I go to town by 8.10 boat. I see and are seen but I daren't not venture near. I receive furniture etc & then see Otto & dine with E. I meet Carson dark chap with 1st finger missing from A.D.H. I write and deliver a letter. I go to N.S. and get home first. M & K go out & we sit by fire & chat. I enjoy myself very much & go home after an exceedingly enjoyable evening. I am shown things the Pommys claim they possess in abundance over Aussie girls
