Thursday 20 October 1921

I stay home pick and deliver the orders. I chop wood all afternoon and mum goes to work for me. We plant asters zinias etc. I go to Mr Bartons, Georges, Mrs Tapfield and League. They are all happy to see me and I am happy too. We decide to defer to the Govt. & sell poppies on Armistice day. I pay major Lodge dues. We decide not to go on with our canditate.  He's a clink bird. 

Friday 21 January 1921

I go to work but no one turns up until 12 o'clock. I go to Ellis' to Tommy, w's. to miss Cameron's and around the town. I see Roy sick on back of tram and race after him to next stop . The Baillifs are in but I get all the Tweed away except 4 pieces. I check the Solicitor. I meet  Otto. Amy. Doris & EdieTaubman. I meet P.P. & K. P.P. & I dine at Raynors & go round shop windows & sit in Hyde Park until 8 pm. I go to Protest. Hall to Board meeting.  Exceedingly tired

Saturday 22 October 1921

I go to town and straighten things up and catch the 12-10 pm boat home. I garden all afternoon & we play cards at night. We play Bridge and Solo

Sunday 23 October 1921

Dolly gets away just after I have rung P.P. up & I chase her about 4 miles to Manly in my military Boots. I am pretty fit. We make a new front fence Dolly gets away over to the big field. I drive her to N.S. & drive Dud Proud & wife & Baby. I take 10 minutes. I drive Kit up to Willoughby. I meet Dick & Oliver 3 times on the way back. We have tea, music until 9.30 . Ida & Wal & Harry
