Monday 31 October 1921

Very hot day.  I go to town to  Gowings & M. Foy. Do no good. I go to Nelsons & play duets & then to Hville I shower & lie on couch for over 2 hrs. We play billiards & I win 2 out 5 games. I stay all night. 

Tuesday 1 November 1921

I ring home. Letters from M.R.C. & letter & maps for Drive. I roll Tennis court & go to town with Dahlias to get fruit salts. Home at 2 pm & just lie about. plant a few dahlias when the thunder storm is over. large hail. I ring P.P. & write to Doris Webster

Wednesday 2 October 1921

I garden all morning & then go to Manly with Georges order & jumble stuff & mattress I go to baths for a swim. Do 100 yds but water very cool & I have had too much fruit salts. I get home at 11.40 tram. I garden all afternoon & catch 5 pm boat. I wait 30 minutes we two go home for tea. We sit on verandah after tea & I say & do several things which annoy & upset my chum. I am silent then for fear of further offence. I try to K --- when I leave & I am forcibly rejected.
