Monday 24 October 1921

P.P. & I go town by 8.45 boat & to Railway together I go to town for a job. I tour all places with no success. I meet P.P. at Quay. We go home for tea. Mr Morris, of the old Guard at Bulford is the celebrated visitor. We have a bright chat & all go to the De Luxe Theatre. P.P. & I get fed up & come home for an hour. We are happy & cheer one another

Tuesday 25 October 1921

I stay home & garden all day. Mum goes to meeting & Dad & I go to bed at 7.30

Wednesday 26 October 1921

I catch 8.10 boat & I go with George around Redfern to Rockdale (Nelson's) & Hurstville (Harpers) to Campsie & meet Walter Dean I gather roses. I go to Julie & Jesse & spend an hour. I meet P.P. at Quay also Dr Goldstein & wife (I speak to the latter) & Dr Tang & Mr Moses of Dee Why we dine at Sargents & go to IV.S. We sit behind oval. I am again told most definitely that my attentions must come to a dead end. I am mad to know why. It is very distressing to me & my splendid P.P. tries to make it easy for me. She B.D'A. me most spontaneously & we part as usual very pleasantly.
