Monday 8 August 1921
Usual boat and miss my little Friend. Walk up with Dick Hawkins. Miss Bickerton affects the first sale of 23 yds while I am at lunch. I write & read all day. Read letter from M.R.C. & from Lodge re money. I ring Dave and Pat. E and I go home with Vi. I take mums coat home. I go to bed at 9 pm after packing my suit case. Hastings return & I meet Mrs. A. Wrote Jennie.
Tuesday 9 August 1921
I sit on top deck with George. We strike a fog & see Benalong in collision. E goes home to pack furniture. I ring E. at Manly after 3 attempts. All is well. I meet Pat & go Home & Florrie comes to tea also. I have pains in head & stomach. We take up a position held previously by D&K. we both nearly go to sleep. A heart to heart talk & I am exceptionally well behaved. I am very hurt at Lodge letter & E's treatment. but I am go home very much happier through Pat.
Wednesday 10 August 1921
Come up on boat with Ethel. she has letter asking if He may build next year. I try to make her write yes. I get away about 3.35 & reach "Montana" at 4.30, We get to work. Etta is sick but we manage to get fairly straight. Dream that I meet Francis Burke & wear her hat through The Top Landing of Victoria Markets.
