Thursday 30 June 1921

I go to League but only stay 45 minutes Colonel not present. I go to chat afterwards. E. misses the 5.45 and talks half an hour about it and I believe she did not mind a scrap. Someone rings at 9.30 pm  

Friday 1 July 1921

I get Jesse to ring up. I meet the [indecipherable] at Ellis' place. He dines at Metropole and I go to Sargents and then to N.S. Dick arrives after 8 pm. An awful wet night and we both get wet through. We are blown down the street. I learn that my hopes are vain. There is evidently something very [indecipherable] that has formed a barrier. 

Saturday 2 July 1921

I get my boots and trousers dry and wash up, shave and gather roses and get to 110. I cash the cheque, buy oilskin and collars and then get to Railway. I dine at Sargents on the Quay. Dick goes home and I go to IV.S. and home and N.S. and Hurstville. Sea fairly rough. My chum is ever so nice and I am more inclined to ----

Sunday 3 July 1921

We clean and tidy up and I catch 2.30 boat. I go to flat and we have music and tea and lots of nice things. I have bad cold after all the wetting. I am told that I am ----
