Ring Ellis  (Mum. D&W. Murray before work & Pat at dinner time in Hodgsons Cafe) (These all on Friday)

Ring P.P. from Auctioneers at Railway. Failure to change costume & I get into a very bad temper. I sit on verandah to cool down & then play for kids to dance see 'em all off to bed --  Post.Licence & money to Traffic office

Friday 16 December 1921

I ring up as above --  a very very hot day & it the walk home is fearful  Cooler in the evening.  We have our dinner & tea hour altered & it is very trying.  Home at 10 & supper. I think it a shame that poor kids should be kept out until after 11 pm & poor old Charlie to carry home all their baggage.

Saturday 17 December 1921

Fairly busy. I can't change trains at Strathfield. P.P. has to wait 90 minutes & she says "she's a martyr"  We arr. at E's & try on dress which is too big. I help with garage while P.P. plays with Baby. We go for a swim. Waves good. We go for a run along beach. We have late tea with Mr Bennett. We observe something of a mystery at corner shop. Go long way round. a real serious talk. I am again told off definitely in such a sweet tender way. I am more sorry for her than for myself.  We finish up in tram & waiting shed-----

Sunday 18 December 1921

I garden & help & lie about until Roy comes.  I ring P.P. twice. I get dress altered after some trouble. I am very unhappy until Roy comes & I am told that I can come round. We bustle over to spend  a. hour
