Thursday 27 October 1921

I stay home & paint shop front & verandah.  I am fearfully dull & every one is so kind thinking I am ill. I cannot eat or talk I am so distressed & have a maddening idea of running away from every one. I get ready to go to League but ring P.P. gain solace & contentment, ease up, play piano & read until 7 pm.

Friday 28 October 1921

I go to town 9 do no good I ring Harper's. I met Dulce, Elva Riddell & Kit Green who turns me down - I go to League, Repat, C.D aunt. Solo, Otto, M.M. I see & meet Boreham. I get home at 5.20. I read & write until 9.30 pm. Mum goes to Windsor by 5.47 train. I see Ellis & George. Write (Wal Lucy). Col. Munro

Saturday 29 October 1921

I do cooking & housework. I set out at 4.50 & get tram to Spit by 5.20. Tram to Spit Rd & walk via Cremorne, Mosman to N.S. in 55 minutes. Tea & read & talk etc until 11 pm. I ask and promise at 11.10 & am saluted in a strange manner. I don't know what to do or say. I get outside for 11.20 boat & miss it. I call back & leave overcoat. I set out to walk.  I get tram from Park to Spit Jnct. & motor from Pont to Condamine Street. Home 1.10 am. I envy lovers (& pairs) in car  -----

Sunday 30 October 1921

Garden and Sailors joy all morning. I go to W.S. and P.P. & I go to Bondi. We go on paddock to do her hair. Dot Wales is there. We have music & chatter. Ellis gets sick. Baby Etta screams to get her pretty frock left on. I catch 10.30 boat. We sit on N.S. wharf for awhile, very happy.
