Thursday 18 August 1921
I write & destroy 3 letters & post a fourth. I just catch 5.45 boat. I go to League & am highly amused at lots of things. I won't go to the Flat. I refuse supper at the League meeting & get home about 10 pm

Come up on boat with my Friend? I get bunted at Market St. I have tea with E & E at the Strand and I meet Dick. I cut out Andersons Trs. I go to Flat after catching 7 pm boat. Received letters from Marion Edmonds, Jennie & Connie. Photo of Marion & Will.
Saturday 20 August 1921
I go to Otto's place. We garden & play cards. I miss the 8.50 train but get 10 pm boat.
Sunday 21 August 1921
I see Dad & Mum off to Campsie. I ring P. who is not out of bed. I spray trees and garden etc. I go to Manly 3.30. I sit on chairs to read & just look up to see my friends. E. looks me in face and turns away. I see them again & go to Flat for tea. Nell, Cyril & Joan
