Thursday 11 August 1921
Rain at night. E & I go home together. We hang pictures I am headachy so I go to bed after a nice warm bath I drive a man nearly mad through telling him where he could get a suit for £25.
Friday 12 August 1921
I lost my hat & jump up to get it while tram waits. I go broke ringing Dick up. I meet Percy Jones as I go to post parcels. I go to Ellis place & to wharf for 5.45 to 6.30 Tea and 6.55 to 7.10. Phone and then to Railway, ring B & see Mannix off & to wharf from 7.43 to 8.10. To Lyric with P to see Alf's Britton. It is good .o. Home strap hanging.
Saturday 13 August 1921
We garden all day & generally straighten things out. We hang pictures at night & finish Kitchen lino. Music & bed at 8.30. x
We garden all day & go for a walk on Prom for an hour after 5 pm. Meet Miller in Bella Vista from Manly X X On Sunday X I meet walter Dean & chat 30 minutes I meet Gladys. Pay Day.
Sunday 14 August 1921
Garden all day & music until bedtime at 8 pm I dream of the army & Ethel 4 times. Last Time I knock a dago out for assaulting her after a swim & help her over 10 ft fence Summer draws on
