Monday 25 July 1921
I look for work in several places. I go up by 8.10 boat. I go to Nette's after dinner and to Dick's at 5 pm. I ring Bess from H'ville and Pat from Dick's. We play billiards and then music until 11 pm Dick comes home alone at 11.30. Meet Frank Hennessey and while we ring Kog 529 W. H. is waiting outside so we all talk & pay us twopence.
Tuesday 26 July 1921
I go to town with Mr H. & Wal & Capt Smith. I go to see Hastings. I go to Miss Camerons and cut all day. And meet a lot of nice Jewesses I catch 5.45 boat but have to stand outside and watch her write to her love. I go to flat to play cards but am very sick and only look on.I ring Dave Lord.at.
Wednesday 27 July 1921
I stay home all day. I catch 5 boat and meet Pat at 6. We have tea M.P. & I. K is very sick. and rings up her Platonic. P & I look at photos until 10.15 & I have to leave then. I ring Dave Lord & Dave Niness. I receive 2nd (1st) instalment much against my will and with no thrills
