Monday 16 May 1921
E. goes to work. I try clean & press I hear of 3 engagements. I try R.K. on & catch 12.45 boat. I cut suit & with bother mend lining of V's coat & press. I walk to Channon - Foggitt Jones, Tommy W. to Bathurst St. I meet H & see Dick at 6pm. We go to N.S. to a flat. We go wrong end of street in rain. Irish Beauty whose tresses I brush. Lovely tea & chatter very much. Home

I go to No 8. Mr B is there. V & He go Home & we all go for a walk along Beach up to the Corso & Home. We have supper together in Kitchen & I wash up.
Wednesday 18 May 1921
I go out with George. We meet Mrs H & M at H'ville. We dine with Ida. We hear of Mr Nelson's death. I go to Pictures but am called away to go to Otto's to work. I catch 5.45 boat. I go Home play read for a while.
