Allan immediately took the alarm and refused to stay a moment longer. It was dark when we got to the camp, both very tired

   Monday 13th  As there was no chance of following the course of the river, we returned, passing by our camps of the 11th  and 10th  [last?] and camping 5 miles fur-ther up the Western Regent

   Leaving Allen to go on and fix the Camp, Fred and I rode to the foot of the South bluff, and walked up to the top of the mount we saw the junction of the Eastern and Western Regents about 3 miles ahead of us. but owing to the rocky and precipitous
