till tomorrow morning to re-ceive the mails for the South. I have been writing the whole afternoon, letters to John, Sam Ferguson and Mary. This evening I received a reply to my telegram, from John, and we are glad to learn from it, that all are well at home, and things are go-ing on as usual.

Dr  O.Flaherty asked me to go down for the evening to his place, I went for a short time but had to come away early to attend to my correspondence. There was some jolly batchelor company assembled there, and Mrs  O.F and family being in Adelaide at present there was no restraint.
