and Regent River be taken up.
This would occupy 12 or 14 Blacks
the remaining 6 or 8 blacks could
be taken in up various places where ever there was
a track of good country with
permanent water. By this plan
we could control 3 or 4 million acres
of country while only paying rent
for one million.
The only means of getting
articles to the place is by water
which would require a Ketch
or a small schooner of 80 or
100 tons. I was not able
to find a landing place, but
Captain Hillier who was in St
Georges Basin two years ago
tells me there are numbers of
fine landings on the east shore
