The bullocks had to swim about
half a mile and one was drowned.
On Saturday morning at 4
A.M. we cast off from the
hulk and steamed away
for Port Darwin, a  strong
wind  & rough sea against
us. numbers of flying
fish are visible from the  ship.
We experienced a rough sea
and a strong head wind for
two days in crossing Carpentaria
Gulf and the Arafura sea.
