Tues 7th. We travelled northwards for 4 ½ miles along, well gras-sed level country, having the river on our right and the ranges on our left. the plain between varying from one to three in width. at the 4 ½ miles we sighted the river at place where it en-tered a gorge between two ranges and went to the nor west east.
