as food by starving mortals.

   But as we are now only

six days journey from Wyndham,

we will be able to make our  

scant supply of flour and

sugar last out out.. and

there  is not much danger of

the rains at this season of

the year blocking by floods_

     Sat 2", Shortly after leaving

camp we passed Cam 7 and com-

menced one of the most arduous

stages of the whole journey, From

8 AM to 3 PM the incessant  

clinking and clattering of the

horses shoes on the jagged

rocks grated on ones ears
