                                                                        1891

Sun May 3' _   Crossed the

Durack Riv, and went 6 miles

over rocky ranges, crossing another

stoney creek. We then had  

good travelling for 7 miles over

fairly good country, and camped

on Mosquito Creek close to our

former Cam 5.

  Monday 4th    We travelled

through good land most of this  

morning.   Allan shot a

fine bustard, which will aid

in warding off the hunger we

are threatened with.   We  

crossed the Pentecost Riv at

Cam 4'- and after going for

2 miles  along  up  its eastern bank

we camped, under a luxuriant sycamor

Tues 5th.   We took a north east-

erly route today, and came through

the Cockburn Pass. The Mountain

(Cockburn) presented a grand
