and appears to be a tributary of the Forrest Riv : after trav-eling 8 or 9 miles through sandy country timbered with bloodwood, leichardt pine and mountain pine etc. we struck the [Gobo?] Creek and followed its left bank for a short distance and then crossed the [Mores?] Creek, and at 2 P.M. we went into camp on the bank of the Drysdale Riv opposite the crossing place : it is a fine stream and is broad and deep in some places and no doubt contains both croc-odiles and alligators.

  This afternoon I gave Fred some instructions in horse shoeing, hitherto I have been blacksmith to the party
