Returning to the camp we had some tea and damper and then struck camp and trav-elled for five miles along the base of the volcanic moun-tains on our right , and camped on the sandy bank of a creek among some palms and banksias, we chose a sandy camp as it looked very like rain.
Sunday 12th This morning Allen and I rode to the base of a mountain near to us ad climbing to the tp we took bearings, rejoining the pack train at the base of he Mount we travelled about three fur-ther and were stopped in our progress by the Eastern Regent which we had camped beside
