They have arrived, oh dear, In jodhpurs and sports gear!
But pockets not so full, it seems, No travelling money here.
But so what, there’s always class,
And class they have, we hear,
At the top, hurrah, hurrah,
Is the mighty class A.
We then have class B, Followed by C and D, Right down the letters, Right down to W.C.
We hope that all of Colombo
Is sharing in the laugh, It’s maybe a bit dumbo, But it’s a joke, so laugh.
Colombo here is not alone,
There’s many a man from paradise
The one we call New Guinea.
So the mix does seem quite funny.
So then tomorrow in the morn, March off they will so fresh and gay Towards the shore,
Towards the Bay.
Trial Bay is an olden town
Complete with an olden gaol,
It’s where you’ll find your happiness
While we remain under duress.
We wish you happy travelling, And hope you like it there,
It’s maybe just a little thing,
But that Trial Bay be fair.
Whether times are bad or good, Just try to keep your mood,
We here will try thereafter
to keep in touch with laughter.
All of us here, we say it outright, Will hope for just one thing –
That the Union Jack will rot in the dirt, reduced to a shredded nothing.
