20. Each company is requested this afternoon to elect a delegate to the committee for one month. Until then, the interim committee will continue. Nominations to be submitted by noon to Mr Giese in Barrack 9, unit 6.
Further to item 1, Voluntary work:
‘’no work, no pay’’
Anybody who wants to work on a voluntary basis has to commit for half a month. The
names of the volunteers are to be collected by the company commanders on the first and third Sunday of the month. Pay will be 1 shilling for 4 hours a day. 6 working days weekly. If somebody wants to work on a Sunday, he has to give advance notice to the Major.
Payment of 7/6d. every 14 days, which means 8 shilling minus 6d. for the mess. The remaining 4 shilling will be accredited to the person’s bank account. Those who do not want to work have to give their company commander 6d. for the
