The days of Piracy have not passed yet. In China on the waters of Canton river and other streams terrible pirates exist and their deeds are at times bloody ones. The real thing in pirates, however, have their home in Singapore and are supposed to be of British stock. They are honoured by the British Government at least and are permitted to levy taxes on all the people who reside in that part of the English settlements under the Union Jack. This band of pirates is known as the legislative council and the chief pirate is called the Governor-General or perhaps just Governor. These pirates have just passed an ‘’Alien Enemy Ordinance’’ and of all the highway robbery, stand and deliver proposition that was ever invented by any
