London June 14 1838

My dear Madam,
 
Whether I wrote to you on the same subject as the present letter so lately sent I cannot deprive myself telling you of the pleasure I have received this day wh. I really do not think has been surpassed by any act of my life; for I am just returned from the Church were I [indecipherable] your dear son James to one of the most amiable young women this country contains - She is every way worthy of him & he of her & my hearty wish is for their happiness & prosperity & that she will afford you in the Evening of your life all the comfort & joys you so richly deserve - I do now avow that I should like to pass in repose
