you say truly there is so much to do, no time is left to probe a subject thoroughly & that wh. is most distant from us gets the least attention - if you wd have the experience of our session in Parlt. you wd. see what a jumble is made of affairs of the greatest consequence & this is the cause of our faulty legislation - nothing will cure all this but Reform in every branch & Department of the State root & branch - mind I do not say cast off root & branch, but cutt off the diseased parts from the root - I hope you have recovd. from the attacks of this influency & your brother too - kind regards to him - Let me hear from you & receive your papers here. yours affectionately & sincerely T.H.Scott
