& say, it shd. be applied to Religion generally & I am the more satisfied of this feasable plan from the good effects wh. I saw such a system had in Java under the Dutch Govt.

I think also the same principle shd. be applied to Education & that one system of general eduction shd. be laid down for the whole State & rigidly adhered to.  To this we are coming tho' slowly in England.
