You are welcome to any opinion or assistance I can give to your plans; but I have such an aversion to & suspicion of that West India planter & rogue I do not think I cd. keep my temper or be tolerably civil to him if we met.  What is he doing at Cambridge? humbugging the liberals with his lies I suppose & then trying to make you believe he is sincere in his support of your views -

I called on the Archbishop of Durham (Dr. Thorpe) but was not fortunate enough
