[indecipherable] & institutions of England wh. give the Courts such enormous power is to counteract any authority or control of the Executive or Magistrates over the Convicts - But this last [indecipherable] wd. [indecipherable]  involve them in the politics of N.S.W. wh. [indecipherable] was impossible they wd. go into now & therefore I [indecipherable] it not [indecipherable]; they will do with the rest I do not know; but had the [indecipherable] chosen to have [indecipherable] [indecipherable]  on that point they would have heard a tale wh. would have astounded them - The [indecipherable]  Col. Davies is a concerted fool & will only take what pleases his fancy & will not believe the truth
