after the receipt of your awful loss your family might not consent to.  In the meantime the prudence & judgment w.h your brother Edward has shown in continuing the arrangements poor John had made & the strong anxiety he feels to use his utmost to fulfill the duties & care of his father's interest reflect the highest honor on his character & it is impossible as long as he remains unemployed as an officer you could do better than by his superintendence -
