For some time he had been complaining occasionally of pains in his head w.h had increased, tho' not to an alarming state, yet, he was advised to abstain from too close an attention to his profession & to avoid all subjects likely to excite him.
These prescriptions to a young lawyer rising in his profession & to a naturally ardent mind tho' absolutely necessary, perhaps gave him uneasiness & tho' he did relax, yet in one important cause then coming on to be pleaded at the Bar
