By cancelling the Bonds with Mr Hawdon I have sustained a loss, which though I am not desirous to claim compensation for from Mr Scott, especially just now, I intend to explain to you, when an opportunity offers. If the property should fall to other hands, by any event not at present contemplated, or if it should here after produce funds by which repayment of the demand which I have in equity against the State, can without inconvenience be made sure, I might regret that I had not mentioned to you as
