The country residence of the Gov.r is quite regal - here I was shown the greatest civility & kindness by his family & suite & by the Merchants also - I met Mr Davidson who knew Mr Macquoid; Sir M has left a most excellent name behind he is universally well spoken of both by English & Dutch & he is much lamented.
