& the masters are too indolent & too careless ab.t bringing their vessels from Gage's Roads to Cockburn Sound or Owen's Roads w.h are safe from all Winds - 

The settlers generally are going on well; as well as c.d be expected on a new formation. Those up the Swan & farming who have been industrious have got ab.t 88 or 90 acres of grain in, all up & looking well - These Yorkshire families working farms with their Servants ab.t 34, are doing well but the Seasons & many other things will be necessary
