Tuesday 31s  Some of the horses rambled during the night and we were late in making a start Three miles from camp we crossed a fine large creek running sou east we then had several miles of heavy sandy country, timbered with pine, box, milkwood and bloodwood, and species of [budda?]. We then crossed a bar of peculiar sanstone rocks, which I considered was the crown of the divide. It proved I was right for in another mile down a gradual incline, we came to a large Palm Creek running northwards,
