The last of the sugar sweet-

ened the tea tonight. by

noon tomorrow we hope to

secure a days rations from

the Chinaman at the Palm Camp.

We travelled 8 hours today and  

did about 20 miles over very

rough stony country.

  Wed 6th   Hungry men do

not sleep soundly, conse-

quently we were all on the  

qui vive at daylight. Allen

had the billy boiling, so we

ate our small slice of dam-
