were able to travel faster then

usual having parted with the

weak horses. After Crossing

the Forest Riv, we travelled 12

miles further, and pitched

camp beside a fine billibong

near our former camp 7.

I shot a splendid bustard

today, which will afford a

palatable change to our mon-

-otonous diet of tea and damper.
