Fred returned to the camp at noon reporting that he had found a good route eastwards along a valley which was verdant with luxuriant grass and whose waters rippled over the lava of centries in sparkling sprays. we packed up and started eastward. at 3.30 our progress was blocked by an abrupt grassy range so we camped where a little brooke issued from a glen in the range and buried itself in a copse of palm trees and acacias.
I went on and found a route over the range which we will cross tomorrow morning.
Saturday 18th Leaving Illimuch Lalirimir Glen where we sowed a number of fruit and other seeds, we crossed the range at a low place and got onto the water -
