here; one cannot feel sad when all nature looks bright and gay. We have not heard from Jimmy for about five or six weeks, but there have been dreadful floods at the Clarence, and none of the steamers have been able to run for a month, so that accounts for our not hearing from him.
I must now say good bye; as I have still to write to Mama, and I will promise more news next month. James is at Gledswood today.
