year we had white ones in the middle of April and we used to think it very fortunate if we could get one white bud to ornament a certain cake on the 8th May.

You will be very sorry to hear of the death of poor Mrs Reeve. She died about a fortnight ago, a happy release for her from much suffering and she was quite calm and happy about her end, and spoke quite cheerfully of it. On Easter Sunday she wished to be at Church and James told me she was so ill that she had to be supported up to the
