Gordon was half expected but Susan did not know whether she would come. She did not. Children came after lunch & stayed till six o'clock. Lady G sent to say she would be at home this Evening. Susan is going to the Bachelors ball & I am going to Pfahlert's for half an hour. Lady G does not dine till 7½ so I don't like to go till 8½
