& he could not tell me till this ev'g when Uncle Wm could go home. All the tendons are snapped above the knee & the leg is quite useless & must be put in splints. He must have the easy [easy entry] large carriage & a board across for his leg.
I will of course return with him & will write as soon as I know the Dr's opinion.
I will try to get him to have a bed downstairs if possibl.e
I went to his room & sat with him for a long time. He is very joy jolly & not in any great pain none he says but his leg is very much swollen
