The Cathedral is near the docks well away from the best part of the city but is built over the old cathedral which marked a very historic spot in the church's history. On a very high & isolated hill beside the city is perched a very massive fortress - like church called "Notre Dame de la Garde" "Our Lady of the Watch". It is used as a church of course and has two main floors to the church. Beside it is the coastguard station, or rather in its walls as the church occupied the whole crest of the hill.
